The clean method is the podcast-level **Website URL**, not a promotional URL dropped into every episode description. Audioboom documents this field in Podcast Settings and displays it on the show's public channel page.

### Steps

1. Review [Audioboom's hosting plans](https://audioboom.com/hosting) and [create an account](https://audioboom.com/signup). Active publishing currently starts with the Standard plan.
2. Set up a genuine show with a title, concise description, category, and square artwork. Audioboom's [Podcast Settings guide](https://support.audioboom.com/hc/en-us/articles/360004424074-Podcast-Settings) says artwork must be a 1400–3000 px square JPEG or PNG under 512 KB.
3. In the dashboard, open **Podcast Settings** and enter your canonical site in **Website URL**.
4. Upload and publish at least one legitimate episode so the channel is useful to listeners rather than an empty link shell.
5. Open the public `audioboom.com/channels/...` page while logged out. Confirm that the website link is visible and points directly to the intended URL.

### Link behavior and value

On the inspected channel, the server-delivered and rendered anchor points directly to `http://www.audioacademy.org.uk/podcast` and uses only `rel="noopener"`. It does not include `nofollow`, `ugc`, or `sponsored`, which supports the dofollow label for the podcast website field as currently rendered.

Do not assume every Audioboom link behaves the same way. A separately inspected external link inside an episode description used `rel="nofollow noopener"`. Use the dedicated podcast website field for the canonical site, then inspect your own public page because Audioboom can change its templates.

A new channel page starts with modest authority despite Audioboom's strong root domain. Its practical value comes from supporting a real show, giving listeners a trusted route to the publisher's website, and gaining internal discovery as episodes are published—not from creating an empty channel solely for SEO.

The cheaper Archive plan keeps existing content online but is not an entry route for publishing a new podcast, so this is not a free backlink method.
