## PBase

PBase hosts photographers' galleries and public member profiles. Its personal URL field can link to your photography website or portfolio; the inspected public profile exposes a direct link without a nofollow attribute. A free trial is available, but continued photo hosting requires a subscription.

- URL: https://www.pbase.com/
- Guide: https://backlinkbadger.com/provider/pbase/
- Link type: dofollow
- Free option: yes
- Backlink value: 3/100
- Spam score: 5/100
- Difficulty: 20/100
- Estimated time: 15 minutes
- Requirements: Email address, PBase account, Photography website or portfolio URL, Original photos for a genuine gallery

PBase's straightforward backlink route is the **Personal URL** on your public photographer profile. Use it to connect your galleries with your own photography website or portfolio. It is not a reason to post promotional links in other photographers' guestbooks.

## Add your website to your profile

1. [Register for a PBase trial account](https://pbase.com/register) with your email address, username, and password. Choose a username you are comfortable using in your public gallery address.
2. Open your own profile and select **edit your account settings**. PBase's [account-settings documentation](https://pbase.com/help/account_settings) explains this route.
3. Under **Public Information**, enter your website in **URL**. This is the personal website field, not the optional **Public Email** field. Leave Public Email empty if you do not want an address displayed.

The screenshot shows PBase's public help page, not a logged-in account form. It documents the **URL** field and its public visibility without exposing anyone's account information.

4. Click **Update** to save your changes. Add a short photographer introduction and a genuine gallery of images you own so the profile represents your work rather than an empty link drop.
5. Open your public profile while signed out. Confirm that **Personal URL** contains a clickable link to the right destination. Check the link's actual HTML on your own page before relying on its attributes.

## What the public link looks like

The [Goodhill Photography profile](https://pbase.com/goodhillphotography/profile) provides an inspectable example. Its **Personal URL** links directly to the photographer's Blogspot site. In the public HTML checked for this guide, that anchor had no `rel` attribute: no `nofollow`, `ugc`, or `sponsored`, and no PBase outbound redirect. That supports the dofollow label for this specific profile-field method, not for guestbook comments or every link on the platform.

The example is an existing subscriber's profile. A new trial account was not created during verification, so check your own signed-out result rather than assuming identical treatment or permanent retention. A new profile also does not inherit the strength or audience of a long-established photographer's page; the backlink-value score is a conservative editorial estimate for the fresh profile you would create.

## The free trial is not permanent hosting

PBase's [pricing page](https://pbase.com/pricing.html) offers a free 10 MB trial. After 30 days from your first upload, further uploads stop and your photos may be removed. Trial galleries are also excluded from common discovery areas, including recent galleries, random photos, and popular galleries. Do not assume a trial profile link will remain useful indefinitely.

For continued hosting, the entry subscription is **US$23 per year for 3000 MB**. The free-option flag here refers to trying the profile workflow, not a permanent free plan. PBase also restricts direct image linking to paid subscribers; that feature concerns embedding hosted photos elsewhere and is separate from the personal website hyperlink.

Follow PBase's [terms](https://pbase.com/help/tos): upload only images you control, do not sell advertising space on your account, and do not use members' public information to send unsolicited messages. The sensible use is a real photography presence with a relevant portfolio link, not a mass backlink campaign.
