## ReverbNation

ReverbNation is a music-promotion platform where artists can publish public profiles, songs, events, and industry-opportunity submissions. The practical backlink path is the public artist profile link area, where an artist can list an official website alongside other web links.

ReverbNation is best treated as an artist-profile backlink source. If you have a real music project, the useful path is to create or update an artist profile and add your official website in the public web-links area so fans, promoters, and searchers can leave ReverbNation for your own site.

### Method: add your website to a public artist profile

1. Start at the [ReverbNation account creation page](https://www.reverbnation.com/registration/new) and create an artist account.
2. Complete the artist profile enough that it looks legitimate: artist name, location, genre, bio, profile image, and at least basic music or event context.
3. In the profile-editing controls, look for the website, social links, or “around the web” links area.
4. Add your official website URL and save the profile.
5. Open the public profile while logged out or in a private browser window and confirm the link appears in the profile sidebar.

A current public example is The Railers profile. Its sidebar renders an external `therailers.com` link in the “around the web” style profile-links area:

### Link quality notes

The inspected profile link is a direct rendered link to `http://therailers.com/` and the browser DOM did not show a `rel="nofollow"` token on that anchor. However, the final website link was not present as a fully hydrated anchor in the raw fetched HTML; it was inserted by ReverbNation's client-side profile code. Because of that, this page should not sell ReverbNation as a clean dofollow SEO backlink. Use it for a real artist web presence, referral traffic, brand/entity consistency, and fans who discover the profile.

ReverbNation also has paid Premium tools for distribution, opportunities, fan reach, promotion, and EPK features. Those can matter for music marketing, but they are not the same thing as the basic public profile website link. Do not buy a plan just for the backlink unless your current account UI specifically gates the public web-link field behind a paid feature.
