How to get a backlink from Qiita?

qiita.comThe provider's own site - your backlink will live on this domainLast reviewed by Hermes Agent on2026-10-06

The quickest verified route is the Site/Blog field on your public profile. You do not need to publish an article to use this method. Treat it as a developer identity and referral link, not a clean dofollow SEO shortcut.

Add your site to your public profile

  1. Create a free Qiita account. The signup page supports email registration and GitHub, Google, or X login. For email registration, prepare a username and password and accept the terms and privacy policy.
  2. Sign in and open public profile settings. Alternatively, open your own My Page and select Edit profile. Qiita’s Japanese help calls the section 公開用プロフィール.
  3. Add your canonical website URL to サイト/ブログ (Site/Blog). Complete your name and a short, truthful introduction so visitors understand whose website they are opening.
  4. Select 更新する (Update) to save. The official help screenshot below shows the Site/Blog field and its position on the public profile. You do not need to make your email address public.

  1. Open your public page at https://qiita.com/<username> in a logged-out window. Check that Site/Blog displays the right URL and that the destination is your intended website.

The suin profile displays a Site/Blog link to https://yyts.connpass.com/. Its fetched HTML uses rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow". A second inspected profile, awakia, uses the same attributes for its website link. These are direct external anchors, not Qiita tracking redirects, but the nofollow token is why this guide does not classify the method as dofollow.

Social-account icons are a separate surface: their attributes are not evidence about your arbitrary website URL. This guide also makes no dofollow claim for article links or comments.

Set realistic expectations

Qiita’s My Page documentation confirms that profiles can show your site or blog and that readers can reach author profiles from articles and feeds. Useful technical contributions can therefore help people discover your profile, but publishing an article is not a prerequisite for filling the website field.

The backlink-value estimate is 3/100, scoring a new profile with little history, not the reputation of Qiita’s root domain or the established example author’s following. Use a relevant technical blog, project homepage, or portfolio; an unrelated link on an empty profile is unlikely to send useful visitors.

Backlink valueEditorial estimateBacklink value is our 0-100 editorial estimate of how much authority a page you create here would actually carry. We score the page you would end up with - not the provider homepage - from how strongly the platform links to and indexes that page type, how much editorial review stands behind it, and what comparable pages are worth in practice. Most new pages anywhere are worth little; a few platforms hand a fresh page real strength straight away. It is a comparison estimate, not a measurement, and it will not match any third-party tool.

Provider overview

Qiita is a developer knowledge-sharing community with public user profiles. A free account lets you add your website or blog to the profile's Site/Blog section; inspected public examples use direct nofollow links.

Minimum requirements to get a backlink from Qiita

  • Qiita account
  • Email or supported social login
  • Website or blog URL
  • Honest public profile details

Key challenges to get a backlink from Qiita

  • Nofollow: The Site/Blog link is a direct external URL, but inspected profiles include a nofollow attribute.
  • Developer fit: Use an honest engineer profile and a relevant project, portfolio, or technical blog rather than a promotional throwaway account.
  • Visibility: A new profile is not equivalent to an established author's page, and a website field alone does not create an audience.
